At eighteen, I’ve been considering myself in sort of a rut. I work, I read, I live with my adoptive parents. I have friends but I don’t do anything special, don’t see anyone special. My life is very vanilla and I’m okay with that.
Or at least I am until a chance encounter brings my life into the paranormal when I meet stranger, Nicholai Vlarinsky. Russian and intense, Nico isn't exactly the newcomer I think he is. Suddenly he's everywhere and with everyone in my life acting oddly I’m at a loss. My family and friends seems to know Nicholai. Even fear him. Why?
One thing I know for sure is that Nico seems to think he has some sort of hold over me and his presence hasn't just altered my life completely, its put me in danger, dropped me into a world I’ve never known existed, and brought secrets into the open. Sometimes men can be real dogs.
