In-Between

In-Between is a WIP, told in the first person POV of Nick Young and alternates between the now and his past. It is a NA Novella and it tentatively set for publication in Fall 2015

I fled my hometown immediately after graduation, more than content to leave its memories and heartbreak behind. Having caught the only girl I ever loved cheating on me with my best friend was just too much. Making sure to get a little revenge before I went, I left with what I had always referred to as my head held high and middle fingers up. If it had been up to me, I'd never have stepped foot back in that small town. Not while she was still living there.

Years later, I've returned to lay my grandfather to rest and face my demons. While here I'm torn between both wanting and not wanting to see her, to face her again. Funny thing is, with my return I learn real quick sometimes even your eyes can play games on you. Sometimes seeing isn't believing and I've made a colossal mistake. I was never the one betrayed. Was it too late to fix things?
